CONSTRUCTION CARE CUSTOMIZATION

On the humid days of the year, you'd be hard-pressed to spot gaps between floorboards that you might usually find. That movement is part of wood's inherent beauty, and is one of the qualities our woodworkers design toward—enhancing the strength of wood through hand-cut joinery rather than fighting against it with mechanical hardware.

CONSTRUCTION

The rails between headboard and footboard disassemble with a traditional stub tenon and bed bolt construction; a cap detail has been added to the front legs to emulate a through tenon. Each bed comes with a set of eight slats constructed with reinforced hardwood ribs that prevent flexing. The top of the post is 78" tall and the headboard is 21-22" tall (as it has a 1" curve cut on the top edge).

To clean the bed wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use wax, oil soaps, or other industrial and household cleaners, as they can compromise the finish.

CARE

The headboard is set for a 10" mattress to sit 1" above the bottom of the headboard and can be adjusted to accommodate a thicker mattress.
